ROAD TRAFFIC AND VEHICLES

The Department of the Environment, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Article 27 of the Road Traffic (Northern Ireland) Order 1981(1) and of every other power enabling it in that behalf, makes the following regulations:
1. These regulations may be cited as the Traffic Signs (Amendment No. 3) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1996 and shall come into operation on 20th October 1996.
2. The Traffic Signs Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1979(2) shall be amended by inserting after diagram 919.1 in Part IIA of Schedule 1 the following diagram and the words specified in and under it—

These regulations amend the Traffic Signs Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1979 by inserting a sign to indicate a waiting place for police patrol vehicles only.
