Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the By-Laws.)

These By-Laws amend the Motor Hackney Carriages (Belfast) By-Laws made by the Council of the County Borough of Belfast on 4th June 1951 by—

(a)(i)abolishing the taxi stand on the south side of Donegall Square North and prescribing the position of the replacement stand on the north side, and(ii) increasing the number of taxis which may stand from 3 to 6;

(b)altering the position of the taxi stand on Donegall Square East and increasing the number of taxis which may stand from 7 to 8.
