ENERGY CONSERVATION

5th December 1995
The Department of the Environment for Northern Ireland, in exercise of the powers conferred upon it by sections 8(2) and 9(2) and 9(3) of the Home Energy Conservation Act 1995(1) and of every other power enabling it in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order—
1. This Order may be cited as the Home Energy Conservation Act 1995 (Commencement) Order (Northern Ireland) 1995.
2.—(1) Subject to paragraph (2), the provisions of the Home Energy Conservation Act 1995 shall come into operation on 1st April 1996.
(2) Sections 3(1) and 4(1) and (2) shall come into operation on 1st January 1996.

(This note is not part of the Order)
Article 2 of this Order brings into operation the following provisions of the Home Energy Conservation Act 1995—
(a)on 1st January 1996, sections 3(1) and 4(1) and (2); and
(b)on 1st April 1996, the remaining provisions of the Act.
