Introduction
1.The Employment (Northern Ireland) Order 2002 (“the Order”) was made on 20th November 2002.
2.The Explanatory Memorandum is prepared to assist the reader in understanding the Order. It does not form part of the Order.
3.The provisions of the Order replicate the measures to support working parents contained in the Employment Act 2002, which received Royal Assent on 8th July 2002.
