130.—(1) The Department—
(a)shall cause to be held any such inquiry as is directed by this Order; or
(b)may cause an inquiry to be held in relation to the exercise of any of its functions under this Order.
(2) For the purposes of paragraph (1), Schedule 8 to the Health and Personal Social Services (Northern Ireland) Order 1972(1) (which applies in relation to inquiries by virtue of section 23 of the Interpretation Act (Northern Ireland) 1954(2)) shall have effect as if the words “or may, if the Department so determines, be wholly or partly defrayed by the Department” were added at the end of paragraph 6 of that Schedule.
