PART IVN.I.CONSENT TO TREATMENT

Review of treatmentN.I.

67.—(1) Where a patient is given treatment in accordance with Article 63(2) or 64(3)(b) a report on the treatment and the patient's condition shall be given by the responsible medical officer to [F1RQIA]

(a)on the next occasion on which a report is furnished in respect of the patient under Article 13(2), (3) or (5); and

(b)at any other time if so required by [F1RQIA] .

(2) In relation to a patient who is subject to a restriction order or restriction direction paragraph (1) shall have effect as if sub-paragraph (a) required the report to be made—

(a)in the case of treatment in the period of six months beginning with the date of the order or direction, at the end of that period;

(b)in the case of treatment at any subsequent time, on the next occasion on which the responsible medical officer makes a report in respect of the patient under Article 47(5).

(3) [F1RQIA] may at any time give notice to the responsible medical officer directing that, subject to Article 68, a certificate given in respect of a patient under Article 63(2) or 64(3)(b) shall not apply to treatment given to him after a date specified in the notice and Articles 63 and 64 shall then apply to any such treatment as if that certificate had not been given.
