PART IN.I.INTRODUCTORY

Title and commencementN.I.

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Fire Services (Northern Ireland) Order 1984 and, except as provided by paragraph (2), shall come into operation on the expiration of two months from the day on which it is made.

(2) The following provisions, namely—

(a)Part III,

Sub‐para. (b) rep. by 1991 NI 12

(c)paragraphs 3 to 6 of Schedule 4, and

(d)Part II of Schedule 5,

shall come into operation on such day or days as the Head of the Department may by order appointF1.

InterpretationN.I.

2.—(1) The Interpretation Act (Northern Ireland) 1954F2 shall apply to Article 1 and the following provisions of this Order as it applies to a Measure of the Northern Ireland Assembly.
