General power to make regulations as to professional practice, conduct and discipline of solicitors26

Without prejudice to any other provision of this Part, the Society may make regulations as to the professional practice, conduct and discipline of solicitors.

Without prejudice to the generality of paragraph (1), regulations may provide for restricting a solicitor from—
a
engaging in practice on his own account whether in partnership or otherwise for such period,F1. . . , as may be specified in the regulations;
b
acting in any transaction for more than one party.

If a solicitor contravenes any regulation made under this Article, any person may make a complaint in respect of the contravention to theF1 Tribunal.
