PART VIN.I.MISCELLANEOUS AND GENERAL

Powers to act on behalf of the Society and proof of resolutionsN.I.

74.—(1) Anything authorised or required to be done by the Society under or in pursuance of this Order or any other enactment or of any instrument made thereunder may be done on behalf of the Society by the Council[F1; and the power to delegate functions to committees conferred on the Council by Article 73A shall include power to delegate functions exercisable by the Council by virtue of this paragraph].

(2) Any document issued by the Society[F1 or the Council] for any purpose whatsoever may be signed on behalf of the Society[F1 or, as the case may be, the Council by the secretary of the Society or] by such other person or persons (if any) as the Council may direct.

(3) Where the Society are entitled to appear and be heard on or with reference to any matter, the Society may do so either by counsel or solicitor.

(4) In any proceedings a document purporting to be certified by the secretary as a copy of a resolution passed by the Council or a committee thereof on a specified date shall be evidence that that resolution was duly passed by the Council or committee on that date.
