Persons authorised to provide pharmaceutical services64

Except as providedF2 by or under regulations, an arrangement shall not be made by F8the Department —

a

with a medical or dental practitioner, under which he is required or agrees to provide pharmaceutical services to any person to whom he is renderingF3 primary medical services or general dental services; or

b

with a person who is not a pharmacist, for the dispensing of medicines.

Regulations shall provide for the preparation and publication by F9the Department of one or more lists of medical practitioners who are required or agree to provide drugs, medicines or listed appliances F10....

In paragraph (1A) “listed” has the same meaning as in Article 63.

The regulations shall include provision for the removal of an entry from a list in prescribed circumstances.

No arrangements for the provision of pharmaceutical services falling within Article 63(1)(c)F6, or additional pharmaceutical services provided in accordance with F11... Article 63A, shall be made with persons other than those who are pharmacists or are of a prescribed description.
