43. The Ministry may conduct or promote, or assist (by grant or otherwise) any person in conducting, research into—
(a)any matter relating to the causation, prevention, diagnosis or treatment of illness, or into such other matters relating to the [F1health care] as it thinks fit;
(b)any matter relating to the [F2social care].
