The Department for Social Development makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 165(2)(a) of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008(1).
1. This Order may be cited as the Charities Act 2008 (Designated Religious Charities) Order (Northern Ireland) 2016 and shall come into operation on 1st March 2016.
2. Section 86 of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008 (persons disqualified for being trustees of a charity) does not apply to a designated religious charity.
