The Department of Finance and Personnel, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(5) of the Lands Tribunal and Compensation Act (Northern Ireland) 1964(1) and section 18 of the Administration and Financial Provisions Act (Northern Ireland) 1962(2) and now vested in it(3), makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Lands Tribunal (Salaries) Order (Northern Ireland) 2008 and shall come into operation on ** November 2008.
2. The Lands Tribunal (Salaries) Order (Northern Ireland) 2007(4) is revoked.
3.—(1) The annual salary payable to the President of the Lands Tribunal shall be increased from £123,200 to £126,400 from 1st April 2008.
(2) The annual salary payable to any other member of the Lands Tribunal shall be increased from £116,700 to £119,000 from 1st April 2008.

This Order provides for changes in the annual salaries payable to members of the Lands Tribunal for Northern Ireland following recommendations made in the Report of the Review Body on Senior Salaries in 2008 (HMSO CM 7388).
It increases, with effect from 1st April 2008, under section 18 of the Administrative and Financial Provisions Act (Northern Ireland) 1962, the annual salary of the President of the Lands Tribunal and all other members of the Tribunal.
Article 2 revokes the Lands Tribunal (Salaries) Order (Northern Ireland) 2007.
