6Positions of responsibility

In relation to a council the following are positions of responsibility—
a
chair of the council;
b
deputy chair of the council;
c
chair of any committee of the council;
d
deputy chair of any committee of the council;
e
member of a cabinet-style executive of the council;
f
external representative of the council.

The clerk of a council must maintain a list of the council’s positions of responsibility.

Schedule 1 (positions of responsibility) has effect.

In this Act “external representative” means a person nominated by the council to serve as a member of any public body.
