24Repeals
The statutory provisions set out in the Schedule are repealed to the extent specified in the second column of that Schedule.
25Commencement

Except as provided by subsection (2), the preceding sections of this Act (and the Schedule) come into operation on such day or days as the Department may by order appoint.

Sections 2, 7 and 9 come into operation on Royal Assent.

An order under subsection (1) may contain such transitional or saving provisions as the Department thinks appropriate.
26Interpretation
In this Act—
“the Department” means the Department for Social Development;
“the Executive” means the Northern Ireland Housing Executive;
“the Private Tenancies Order” means the Private Tenancies (Northern Ireland) Order 2006 (NI 10).
27Short title
This Act may be cited as the Housing (Amendment) Act (Northern Ireland) 2011.
