9.—(1) This Act may be cited as the Children (Leaving Care) Act (Northern Ireland) 2002.
(2) Sections 1 to 5 and 7 shall come into operation on such day as the Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety may by order appoint.
(3) Section 6 shall come into operation on such day as the Department for Social Development may by order appoint.
(4) An order under subsection (2) or subsection (3) may make such transitional, consequential or saving provision as the Department making the order considers necessary or expedient.
