2001 CHAPTER 15
An Act to rename the Department of Higher and Further Education, Training and Employment as the Department for Employment and Learning.
[20th July 2001]
Renaming of Department of Higher and Further Education, Training and EmploymentN.I.
1.—(1) The Department of Higher and Further Education, Training and Employment shall be renamed the Department for Employment and Learning.
(2) Accordingly, in any statutory provision or other document passed, made or issued before the coming into operation of this Act—
(a)for any reference to, or which is to be construed as a reference to, the Department of Higher and Further Education, Training and Employment there shall be substituted a reference to the Department for Employment and Learning; and
(b)for any reference to, or which is to be construed as a reference to, the Minister of Higher and Further Education, Training and Employment there shall be substituted a reference to the Minister for Employment and Learning.
(3) This Act may be cited as the Department for Employment and Learning Act (Northern Ireland) 2001.
