Appointed day

2.  12 December 2014 is the day appointed for the coming into force of the following provisions of the Marine and Coastal Access Act 2009—

(a)sections 116 to 128 (designation of marine conservation zones; duties relating to the conservation network and duties of public authorities);

(b)sections 134 to 148 (orders for the protection of marine conservation zones in Wales; hearings; offences; fixed monetary penalties; miscellaneous and supplementary provisions; and other conservation sites) and Schedules 10 (further provisions about fixed money penalties under section 142), 11 (consequential amendments relating to MCZs), 12 (transitional provision relating to MCZs) and 13 (marine boundaries of SSSIs and national nature reserves); and

(c)Part 3 (nature conservation) of Schedule 22 (repeals) and section 321 (repeals) so far as relating to that Part.
