Disapplication of enactments

36.  The following provisions of the 1991 Act are disapplied in relation to specified works in specified streets—

(a)section 53 (the street works register)(1);

(b)section 54 (advance notice of certain works)(2);

(c)section 55 (notice of starting date of works)(3);

(d)section 56 (power to give directions as to timing of street works)(4);

(e)section 57 (notice of emergency works)(5); and

(f)section 66 (avoidance of unnecessary delay or obstruction)(6).

Section 53 is prospectively amended by the Traffic Management Act 2004, section 45.

Section 54 was amended by the Traffic Management Act 2004, sections 40 and 49 and Schedule 1.

Section 55 was amended by the Traffic Management Act 2004, sections 40, 49 and 51 and Schedule 1.

(4)

Section 56 was amended by the Traffic Management Act 2004, sections 40 and 43(3) and Schedule 1.

Section 57 was amended by the Traffic Management Act 2004, sections 40 and 52(3) and Schedule 1.

Section 66 was amended by the Traffic Management Act 2004, section 40 and Schedule 1.
