3. Reagents U.K.

3.1. Solution of ammonium thiocyanate 0,1 mol/litre. U.K.

3.2. Solution of silver nitrate 0,1 mol/litre. U.K.

3.3. Saturated solution of ammonium ferric sulphate (NH₄)Fe(SO₄)₂. U.K.

3.4. Nitric acid, density: 1,38 g/ml. U.K.

3.5. Diethyl ether. U.K.

3.6. Acetone. U.K.

3.7. Carrez I solution: dissolve in water 21,9 g of zinc acetate, Zn (CH₃COO)₂·2H₂O and 3 g of glacial acetic acid. Make up to 100 ml with water. U.K.

3.8. Carrez II solution: dissolve in water 10,6 g of potassium ferrocyanide K₄Fe(CN)₆·3H₂O. Make up to 100 ml with water. U.K.

3.9. Active carbon, free from chlorides and not absorbing them. U.K.
