Council Decision of 20 July 1998 on a common technical regulation for the attachment requirements for connection to the analogue public switched telephone networks (PSTNs) of terminal equipment (excluding terminal equipment supporting the voice telephony justified case service) in which network addressing, if provided, is by means of dual tone multi-frequency (DTMF) signalling (98/482/EC)

Article 4

1. Equipment within the scope of the harmonised standard referred to in Article 2(1) may continue to be approved under national type approval regulations for a period of 15 months after the date of adoption of this Decision.

2. Terminal equipment approved under such national type approval regulations may continue to be placed on the market and put into service.
