The Hinkley Point C (Nuclear Generating Station) (Amendment) Order 2018 No. 413

Citation and commencement

1.  This Order may be cited as The Hinkley Point C (Nuclear Generating Station) (Amendment) Order 2018 and shall come into force on 24th March 2018.

Amendment of The Hinkley Point C (Nuclear Generating Station) Order 2013

2.  The Hinkley Point C (Nuclear Generating Station) Order 2013 (“the Order”) is amended as follows.

Amendment to Part 1 (Authorised development) of Schedule 1 (Authorised project)

3.—(1) In Part 1 of Schedule 1 to the Order the description of Work No. 1A is amended as follows:

(2) In paragraph (d)(i)—

(a) after “Effluent Tanks” insert “and Refuelling Water Storage Tank”;

(b) after “Battery Load Bank;” insert “and”;

(c) after “Cooling Water Discharge Weir (Buildings)” omit “and Refuelling Water Storage Tank;”.

(3) In paragraph (h)—

(a) after “Service Access Buildings;” omit “and”;

(b) in the list below “Service Access Buildings;”, insert “Underground Tunnel High Points;”; and

(c) in the list, below “Services Ventilation Building;” insert—

“Back Up Containerised Generators; and

Valve Room for Demineralisation Station.”

Amendment to Part 2 (Temporary jetty works) of Schedule 1 (Authorised project)

4.—(1) Part 2 of Schedule 1 to the Order is amended as follows.

(2) In the description of Work No. TJ1 after “elevated roadway” insert “and drainage infrastructure (including pipework and outfalls)”.

Amendment to Part 3 (Approved plans) of Schedule 1 (Authorised project)

5.—(1) Part 3 of Schedule 1 to the Order is amended as follows.

(2) For the tables and headings listed under the heading “HPC Development Site”, up to the heading “HPC accommodation campus”, substitute the list in the Schedule to this Order.

Amendment to Schedule 2 (Requirements)

6.—(1) Schedule 2 to the Order is amended as follows.

(2) In the table at paragraph 2—

(a) In sub-paragraph (2) of requirement PW3, for “(Rev 02)” substitute “(Rev 03)”;

(3) In the table at paragraph 3—

(a) In sub-paragraph (2) of requirement P10, after “Environmental Statement” insert “and may include pipework attaching to the temporary jetty leading to an outfall at the temporary jetty head,” and after “and shall” include “(except in relation to discharge from the temporary jetty head)”;

(4) In the table at paragraph 4—

(a) In sub-paragraph (3) of requirement MS4, for “and 1C” substitute “, 1C and TJ1”;

(b) After requirement MS17 insert new row—

Back Up Containerised Generators

(1)  Construction of the Back Up Containerised Generators (comprised in Work No. 1A(h)) shall not commence until details of their layout, scale and external appearance have been submitted to and approved by West Somerset District Council. (2)  The details referred to in paragraph (1) shall be in accordance with parameter plans HINK-A2-LLY-00-GA-001 (Rev 01); HINK-A2-LLV-00-GA-001 (Rev 01); and HINK-A2-LLW-00-GA-001 (Rev 01). (3)  The works shall be carried out in accordance with the approved details. ”;

(c) In sub-paragraph (2) of requirement MS19, for “(Rev 02)” substitute “(Rev 03)”; and

(d) In sub-paragraph (2) of requirement MS21, for “(Rev 02)” substitute “(Rev 03)”.

Certification of revised or substituted plans

7.—(1) The undertaker shall, as soon as practicable after the making of this Order, submit copies of any revised or substituted plans to the Secretary of State for certification that they are true copies of the plans referred to in this Order.

(2) A plan so certified by the Secretary of State is admissible in any proceedings as evidence of the contents of the document of which it is a copy.

(3) In paragraph (1), the “undertaker” has the same meaning as in article 2(1) of the Order.
