Article 2(2)

SCHEDULEParticulars of the Sport and Arts Joint Scheme

1.  The bodies participating in the Sport and Arts joint scheme (“the joint scheme”) are Sport England and the Arts Council of England.

2.  The purpose of the joint scheme is to make grants and give other financial assistance for the development of sports and arts facilities in primary schools in England, for use by children and local communities, as part of the “Space for Sport and Arts” programme (which is to be operated in co-operation with other bodies, and whose purpose is to encourage the development of such facilities).

3.  The administration of the joint scheme will be undertaken by Sport England.

4.  The joint scheme applies in England only.

5.  The maximum amount of money that may be distributed under section 25(1) of the National Lottery etc. Act 1993 in any year under the joint scheme is £30 million.

6.  The money to be distributed under section 25(1) of the 1993 Act under the joint scheme is attributable to each of the participating bodies in the following proportions, that is to say—

(a)as to Sport England, 83.33 per cent.; and

(b)as to the Arts Council of England, 16.67 per cent.

7.  The joint scheme will terminate no later than 31 March 2013.
