Whereas the Secretary of State for Education and Employment is satisfied that the schools specified in the Schedule to this Order had selective admission arrangements at the beginning of the 1997–98 school year;

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred on the Secretary of State by section 104(1) of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998(1) the Secretary of State for Education and Employment hereby makes the following Order:–
