1(1)The following provisions of this Part of this Schedule shall, unless otherwise agreed in writing between the nominated undertaker and [F1Canal & River Trust], have effect.U.K.

“the canal” means the Regent’s Canal (including the St. Pancras Yacht Basin), the River Lee Navigation or the Waterworks River as the case may be, insofar as any of those waterways is owned or managed by [F1Canal & River Trust], and includes any works connected therewith for the maintenance of which [F1Canal & River Trust] is responsible and any lands held or used by [F1Canal & River Trust] for the purposes of the canal;
“construction” includes execution, placing, altering, replacing and relaying and includes removal;
“plans” includes sections, drawings, specifications and method statements;
“specified work” means so much of any permanent or temporary work authorised by Part I of this Act as is in, across, under, over or in the vicinity of the canal.
