| Section 1 (investment deposits). | In subsection (1), for the words " received under the [1954 c. 62.] Post Office Savings Bank Act 1954 (in this Act referred to as ' the principal Act') may be so " there shall be substituted the words " may be "; in subsection (2), the words " made in a post office savings bank" shall be repealed; and, in subsection (3), after the words "The following provisions of" there shall be inserted the words " the Post Office Savings Bank Act 1954, in this Act referred to as ". |
| Section 2 (terms of investment deposits). | In subsection (1), for the words " as the Postmaster General may from time to time by regulations made with the consent of the Treasury prescribe" there shall be substituted the words " as the Treasury may from time to time by regulations prescribe ", and for the words " the Postmaster General " (where secondly occurring) there shall be substituted the words " the Director of Savings "; in subsection (2), the words " the Postmaster General's" shall be omitted; and, in subsection (4), for the words " The Postmaster General " there shall be substituted the words " The Director of Savings ". |
| Section 4 (investment by National Debt Commissioners). | In subsection (1), for the words " the Postmaster General with the consent of the Treasury " there shall be substituted the words " the Treasury "; in subsection (2), for the words " the Postmaster General with the consent of the Treasury " there shall be substituted the words " the Treasury " and for the words " to the Postmaster General" there shall be substituted the words " to the Director of Savings "; and, in subsection (3), for the words " the Postmaster General" there shall be substituted the words " the Director of Savings ". |
