The Scottish Ministers make the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 34 and 60 of the Fire and Rescue Services Act 2004(1) and all other powers enabling them to do so.
In accordance with section 34(5) of that Act, they have consulted with such persons as they considered appropriate.
1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Firefighters’ Pension Scheme (Scotland) Amendment Order 2014.
(2) This Order comes into force on 1st April 2014.
2. Schedule 1 to the Firefighters’ Pension Scheme (Scotland) Order 2007(2) (in which the New Firefighters’ Pension Scheme (Scotland) is set out) is amended in accordance with article 3.
3. For the Table in Annex A1 (pensions contributions), substitute—

| More than £15,000 and up to and including £21,000 | 9.4% of pensionable pay |
| More than £21,000 and up to and including £30,000 | 10.4% of pensionable pay |
| More than £30,000 and up to and including £40,000 | 10.9% of pensionable pay |
| More than £40,000 and up to and including £50,000 | 11.2% of pensionable pay |
| More than £50,000 and up to and including £60,000 | 11.3% of pensionable pay |
| More than £60,000 and up to and including £100,000 | 11.7% of pensionable pay |
| More than £100,000 and up to and including £120,000 | 12.1% of pensionable pay |
| More than £120,000 | 12.5% of pensionable pay”. |

This Order changes as from 1st April 2014 the pension contribution rates of firefighters in Scotland who are members of the New Firefighters Pension Scheme (Scotland).
2004 c.21; section 34 was amended by paragraph 66(2) of schedule 7 to the Police and Fire Reform (Scotland) Act 2012 (asp 8); the functions of the Secretary of State as regards Scotland were transferred to the Scottish Ministers by virtue of the Scotland Act 1998 (Transfer of Functions to the Scottish Ministers etc.) Order 2005 (S.I. 2005/849).
