Citation and commencement
1. This Order may be cited as the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (City of Edinburgh) Designation Amendment Order 2007 and comes into force on 19th November 2007.
Amendment of the 1998 Order
2. The Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (City of Edinburgh) Designation Order 1998(1) is amended as follows–
(a)in Schedule 1 (specification of area)–
(i)the word “and” is inserted immediately after paragraph (a); and
(ii)paragraph (c), and the word “and” immediately preceding that paragraph, are omitted;
(b)in paragraph 6(2) of Schedule 2 (modifications of provisions of Part II of the Road Traffic Act 1991), after “Designation Order 1998” insert “as amended by the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (City of Edinburgh) Designation Amendment Order 2007”; and
(c)in paragraph 6 of Part I of Schedule 3 (modifications of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984), after “Designation Order 1998” insert “as amended by the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (City of Edinburgh) Designation Amendment Order 2007”.
Amendment of the 1998 Regulations
3. In regulation 2(3)(a) of the Road Traffic (Parking Adjudicators) (City of Edinburgh) Regulations 1998 (interpretation)(2), after “Designation Order 1998” insert “as amended by the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (City of Edinburgh) Designation Amendment Order 2007”.
