Superannuation (Chief Executive to the Mental Health Commission) Order (Northern Ireland) 2001

The Department of Finance and Personnel in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 3(4) and (7) of the Superannuation (Northern Ireland) Order 1972(1) and now vested in it(2) and of every other power enabling it in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1.  This Order may be cited as the Superannuation (Chief Executive to the Mental Health Commission) Order (Northern Ireland) 2001 and shall come into operation on 4th April 2001.

2.  There shall be added to the offices listed in Schedule 1 to the Superannuation (Northern Ireland) Order 1972 with effect from 1st April 1999, the office of Chief Executive to the Mental Health Commission(3).

3.  The Superannuation (Secretary to The Mental Health Commission) Order (Northern Ireland) 1999(4) is hereby revoked.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order.)

This Order adds the office of Chief Executive to the Mental Health Commission to the offices listed in Schedule 1 to the Superannuation (Northern Ireland) Order 1972 (‘the 1972 Order') for which the Department of Finance and Personnel may make pension schemes. It is retrospective by virtue of Article 3(7) of the 1972 Order.

This Order also revokes the Superannuation (Secretary to The Mental Health Commission) Order (Northern Ireland) 1999.
