8.The Department conducted a public consultation on a draft Bill between 23 January and 15 April 2008. Over 500 copies of the Consultation Document were issued to a wide range of bodies in Northern Ireland.
9.During the consultation period officials met with some of the family members of the disappeared to discuss the proposals.
