9(1)The Scottish Ministers may remove a member, by giving the member notice in writing, if the Scottish Ministers consider that the member is—S
(a)unable to perform the member's functions, or
(b)otherwise unfit to continue to be a member.
(2)The Scottish Ministers may remove a member under sub-paragraph (1) only with the approval of the Scottish Parliament.
