Public Appointments and Public Bodies etc. (Scotland) Act 2003

Paragraph 1 – Confirmation of Executors (Scotland) Act 1858 (c.56)

86.Paragraph 1repeals a reference in section 2 of the 1858 Act to a recognised financial institution providing executry services. The amendment takes account of the proposed repeal by this Act of section 19 of the Law Reform (Miscellaneous Provisions) (Scotland) Act 1990, the purpose of which was to authorise the Scottish Conveyancing and Executry Services Board to consider applications from banks, building societies and other financial institutions to offer executry services.
