A crofting community body’s right to buy land F1, the interest of a tenant over land or sporting interests under this Act is exercisable only if, within 21 days of the date of notification under section 88(12) below, it sends notice confirming its intention to proceed to buy the land F2, tenant's interest or interests to Ministers and to the owner of the land or F3, as the case may be, the tenant or the person entitled to the interests.

Ministers shall, within 7 days of receipt of notice under subsection (1) or (2) above, acknowledge receipt and send a copy of that acknowledgement to the owner of the land or F4, as the case may be, the tenant or the person entitled to the interests.
