1Vesting of certain transferred property and funds in Ministries of Northern Ireland.N.I.

(1)The title, rights and interests to or in any land or buildings situate in Northern Ireland, and transferred by order of the Joint Exchequer Board to, and immediately before the passing of this Act vested in, any Minister of Northern Ireland for the purpose of the administration of any Irish service in Northern Ireland, are hereby transferred to and vested in such Ministry of Northern Ireland as has been established for the administration of the service in connection with which the land or buildings are to be held.

(4)F1 The assets of the Burke Memorial Prize Fund, the Carlisle and Blake Fund and the Worship Fund apportioned to the Government of Northern Ireland, together with all dividends and interest accrued due on those funds, shall be transferred to and vest in the Ministry of Education, and shall be held by that Ministry for the purposes and subject to the trusts for and subject to which those assets were held before they were apportioned to the said Government.

(5)Any land, buildings, assets or funds vested by or in pursuance of this section in any Ministry of Northern Ireland shall, so far as is necessary for the administration in Northern Ireland of the Irish services in connection with which such land, buildings, assets or funds are held, be deemed to have been held by the appropriate Ministry as from the day on which they were transferred or apportioned to the Government of Northern Ireland or any department, authority or officer thereof; and anything which may have been done before the passing of this Act by or to any department, authority or officer of that Government, other than the appropriate Ministry, in relation to any land, buildings, assets or funds vested in such department, authority or officer by order of the Joint Exchequer Board, shall be deemed to have been done by or to the appropriate Ministry.

(3)There shall be paid out of moneys provided by Parliament all such expenses of Irish services in Northern Ireland as were, before the day appointed for the coming into operation of the provisions of the Government of Ireland Act, 1920, as respects those services, defrayed out of any fund [F5 or part of a fund the assets of which have been (in whole or part) transferred or apportioned to the Government of Northern Ireland by the Joint Exchequer Board under that Act.]
