(1)A person guilty of an offence underF1. . . section 27(1)F2. . . ,F1. . . shall be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding[F2 level 2 on standard scale].
(2)A person guilty of an offence under any of the provisions of this Act, other than the provisions mentioned in subsection (1), shall be liable on summary convictionF2. . . , to a fine not exceeding[F2 £1,000], or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding three months, or to both such fine and such imprisonment.
(1)No proceedings for an offence under any of the provisions of this Act may be instituted except—
(a)by the Ministry; or
(b)by, or with the consent of, the Attorney-General.
(2)Subsection (1) shall not operate so as to affect a prosecution for an offence committed by an authorised officer or other officer of the Ministry.
