An Act to make provision for the permanent adoption in Northern Ireland of the Time adopted for use in Great Britain.
[7th November 1924]
WHEREAS it is expedient that provision should be made that the time for general purposes in Northern Ireland should at all times be the same as the time for general purposes in Great Britain:

Any enactment of the Parliament of the United Kingdom or Order of His Majesty in Council passed or made after the passing of this Act and for the time being in force, which makes or continues any provisions with respect to the time for general purposes in Great Britain, shall apply, with respect to the time for general purposes in Northern Ireland, to the extent to which it applies in Great Britain, and during the same periods in any year, and subject to the same limitations, as may be for the time being in force for or with respect to the adoption of such time in Great Britain; and the Time (Ireland) Act, 1916 [1916 c.45] , shall, as respects Northern Ireland, have effect accordingly.
This Act may be cited as the Time Act (Northern Ireland), 1924, and shall be construed as one with the Time (Ireland) Act, 1916, as that Act applies in Northern Ireland, and that Act and this Act may be cited together as the Time Acts (Northern Ireland), 1916 and 1924.
