Approval under section 16 or 17—
a
has effect from whatever date is specified by Qualifications Wales, and
b
is to be granted for a limited period specified by Qualifications Wales on granting approval.

Approval under section 18 or 19—
a
has effect from whatever date is specified by Qualifications Wales, and
b
may be granted indefinitely or for a limited period specified by Qualifications Wales on granting approval.
