OUR Lord the King, at his Parliament holden at Westminster the First Day of March, the Seventh Year of his Reign, by the Advice and Assent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and at the Request of the Commons in the same Parliament, hath ordained and established divers Ordinances and Statutes in the Form as followeth.

I Liberties, Charters, and Statutes confirmed. Peace shall be kept, and Justice done.E+W

FIRST, That Holy Church have all her Liberties and Franchises; and that all the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and all the Cities, Boroughs, and Towns franchised, have and enjoy all their Liberties and Franchises, which they have of the Grant of the King’s Progenitors, and of the Confirmation and Grant of our Lord the King that now is. And that the Great Charter, . . . F1, and all the Ordinances and Statutes made in the Time of our Lord the King, and in the Time of his Progenitors, not repealed, be firmly holden and kept, and duly executed in all Points: And that the Peace within the Realm be holden and kept, so that all the King’s liege People and Subjects may from henceforth safely and peaceably go, come, and abide, according to the Laws and Usages of the same Realm: And that good Justice and [X2even] Right be done to every Person; saving to the same our Lord the King his Regalty and Prerogative.
